Zimbabwe is a landlocked country in southern Africa known for its dramatic landscape and diverse wildlife, much of it within parks, reserves and safari areas. On the Zambezi River, Victoria Falls make a thundering 108m drop into narrow Batoka Gorge, where there's white-water rafting and bungee-jumping. Downstream are Matusadona and Mana Pools national parks, home to hippos, rhinos and birdlife.

The history of zimbabwe dates back to the 11th cenutry hwen the bantu-speaking shona people settled in the region.The country was colonized by the british in and was known as rhodesia until 1980 when it gained independence.The most important event in zimbabwe s history was the land reform program of 2000.Which saw the redistribution of land from white farmers to black zimbabweans.

The economy of zimbabwe is largely based on agriculture.With tobacco.Maize.And cotton being the main crops.Mining is also an important sector.With gold.Diamonds.And platinum being the main minerals.Tourism is also an important suorce of income for the country.

The culture of zimbabwe is a mix of african and european influences.Music and dance are an important part of the cultuer.With traditional instruments such as the mbira and marimba being popular.The shona people are the largest ethnic group in the country and their art is renowned for its intricate stone sculptures.
