Feeding ducks bread: Should you do it?

There was a time when it is on the streets in the whole of the UK the echo of the sound of the bread would go containers strike for a weekend.

And when they were children, there was no greater thrill, than that you went - stale crust of your nan's house in hand, down to The Local pond and feed the ducks.

But all of that changed when The Public was told that it was feeding bread to ducks is bad for you.

So why in the year 2019, has shared a photo like this being on Social Media , say, carbs are back on the duck on the menu?

Radio 1 Newsbeat contacted the Royal Society for the Protection of Birds, to try and get to the bottom of this.

"just like us, animals need a varied diet to stay healthy," a spokesman for the RSPB tells us, in a statement.

"Although the ducks and swans can digest, all kinds of bread, too much can leave you feeling full, without the all-important vitamins, minerals, and nutrients you need. "

The RSPB didn't know where the poster shared online was made, or what the organization behind The Campaign .

But the health-conscious people, it is advisable that, if you need to feed the ducks with bread, then use something else as a remnant from a cheap White Bread .

It was reported at the time, to prevent that the campaigns that people are feeding bread to ducks and swans could be responsible for this, such as people who may have stopped to feed the birds completely, rather than with other foods from their homes.
