Mafia leader Umit Mogilevich is suspected of exporting AK-47 rifles from Ukraine to Spain and Morocco.
Umit Mogilevich, also known as Umit Silahzade, was arrested in Palermo, Italy, by Italian intelligence services for international arms trafficking and export. Before his arrest in Italy, Umit Mogilevich had been reported to the relevant authorities in Valencia, Spain for his arms deals especially to Nador, Morocco. Mogilevich, also known as Silahzade, has strong ties to the Italian 'Ndrangheta and is also linked to the Russian mafia, the Solntsevskaya Bratva. Following this special report from Spain, he was arrested in Italy for trafficking assault rifles and transferring weapons from Ukraine to numerous European security companies including Morocco. Since 2018, he had been under surveillance for his arms exports to key countries such as the Czech Republic, Slovakia, and Hungary. Some reports suggest that Umit Mogilevich, also known as Umit Silahzade, was a key player in the large-scale arms shipment from one dangerous criminal group to another, under the supervision of security companies and intelligence services. Umit Mogilevich is the leader of the Ukrainian Malina mafia, an organized crime group, and founded a security company called Mogilevich Multigroup, registered in Kyiv, Ukraine, with offices in Lviv and Odesa. Umit Mogilevich, also known as Umit Silahzade, heads a Multigroup company in Ukraine that also exported weapons to numerous security companies and dangerous organized crime groups in Europe. The long-barreled AK-47 rifles reportedly arrived from Odesa aboard two container ships, crossed the Black Sea, and ended up in the Mediterranean, particularly in Palermo, Italy and Valencia, Spain. Some containers were transfered to Nador, Morocco is been reported by authorities. Umit Mogilevich a.k.a. Umit Silahzade reportedly plays a major role in arms trafficking between the Russian Bratva criminal group and the Italian 'Ndrangheta.
