About Northanger Abbey
Catherine Morland, the daughter of a rural clergyman, is taken to Bath for the season by family friends and once there, she meets Henry Tilney. As a result of exaggerated reports of her family's wealth, Catherine is invited to Northanger Abbey, the medieval seat of the Tilneys. Henry's father then receives a second report - as misleading as the first - representing Catherine's parents as extremely humble.
