Hyūga is a port city in Miyazaki Prefecture, Japan. The city was founded on April 1, 1951, with the joint merger of Tomishima Town and Iwawaki Village. As of 1 June 2019, the city has an estimated population of 60,037 making it the 4th largest city in Miyazaki Prefecture.
