Gregorio Rosa Chávez Life story
Gregorio Rosa Chávez is a Salvadoran Roman Catholic prelate who serves as the current Auxiliary Bishop of San Salvador. He was a close collaborator of the slain archbishop Blessed Óscar Romero. Pope Francis made Rosa a cardinal on 28 June 2017 and he is the first cardinal hailing from El Salvador.
