The government's lawmaking plans for the year ahead are due to be set out in The Queen 's Speech on Tuesday.

It has been announced that Prince Charles will deliver The Speech this year, owing to The Queen 's health. It is the First Time she has missed The Ceremony since 1963.

The Speech is expected to mention some bills carried over from the previous session of Parliament, which ended last month.

There will also be A Number of new ideas for legislation. We take a look at what might be included.

The government is Under Pressure to deliver on its flagship " levelling up" pledge to reduce Economic Inequality between parts of the UK.

It has already confirmed The Speech will announce a Levelling up and Regeneration Bill containing powers to force landlords in England To Let out empty shops, in a bid to rejuvenate high streets.

The Bill could also contain new powers for local government, or elements of a that ministers abandoned Last Year after a backbench rebellion.

The Procurement Bill, replacing EU rules on how the government buys services from the Private Sector , could also get a mention. It was included in Last Year 's Queen's Speech, But is yet to be introduced to Parliament.

Also likely to be mentioned is the Online Safety Bill, the government's flagship legislation to.

The Bill began its early stages in Parliament earlier this year, and the government has said it will be carried over into this year's session.

The Speech could also commit to introducing a new broadcasting bill this year, to enable the planned privatisation of Channel 4 .

It remains to be seen whether this bill would also deliver government plans for Ofcom to regulate on-demand streaming services.

There have also been reports The Speech could reference a data bill to replace EU data protection laws, and a trade documents bill to enable greater digitisation of trade-related paperwork.

The Speech could promise a new bill to implement the government's pledge to reform the parole board.

Earlier this year, Justice Secretary Dominic Raab said he wanted to legislate " as soon as possible" to give ministers.

Another area where we could see new legislation referenced is over the agencies that scrutinise prisons and probation services.

The government is yet to announce new laws in this area, having made a commitment to do so in its prison strategy white paper last December.

Two bills contained in Last Year 's Queen's Speech that the government is yet to introduce to Parliament could also be mentioned again.

The First is a Counter-State Threats Bill, to give new powers to the security services and overhaul the.

The Second is a draft Victims' Bill to implement a long-promised pledge to create new rights for The Victims of crime.

The Speech could also mention a new Brexit Freedoms Bill, to give ministers they copied over after Brexit.

Brexit opportunities minister Jacob Rees-Mogg recently told MPs his team was " on track" to introduce The Bill this summer.

The government has now The Speech will mention a specific piece of legislation to give ministers new powers to rip up the Northern Ireland Protocol agreed as part of the Brexit deal.

However, The Bbc understands The Speech will include language about upholding the integrity of the Good Friday Agreement, and that a bill could be introduced at a later stage.

The Speech could also pledge to introduce a new Bill of Rights to replace the Human Rights Act (HRA), which legally protects certain rights including respect for Private Life .

This bill could also deliver plans for new powers to seize crypto-assets from criminals.

It could reference a new Animals Abroad Bill to implement a ban on importing hunting trophies. This Was mentioned in Last Year 's Queen's Speech.

The Bill was previously due to include a ban on imports of fur and Foie Gras - But these are likely to be shelved in The Final version.

The Bbc has previously been told The Speech would also pledge to introduce a bill to ban conversion therapy for gay or bisexual people.

However, the ban is now not expected to cover Transgender People , with ministers understood to be worried there might be unintended consequences for parents, teachers and therapists helping children experiencing gender identity issues.

Another bill that could be mentioned again, having featured in Last Year 's speech, is a Boycotts, Divestment and Sanctions Bill to stop public bodies imposing their own boycotts on foreign countries.

In recent years some councils have introduced their own boycotts, such as of goods from Israel and But the government argues this is effectively part of the UK's foreign policy, and this is an area it should control.

Other areas where the government has previously committed to legislating are to deliver parts of its and new rights for social housing tenants.
