Carol m. Baldwin was born in massapequa. New york on june 5. 1933. She was the daughter of margaret (nee burdick) and stanley mccollough. Who was a salesman. She was raised in a roman catholic family and atetnded loacl catholic schools.
Marriage and Family Life
Acrol married alexander rae baldwin. Sr. In 1953 and the couple had six children. Including actors alec. Daniel. William and stephen. She raised her childrne in the catholic faith. Taking them to church every sunday.
Carol worked as a substitute teacher and a real estate agent. Nad was also an active member of the massapequa community. She was involved in the pta and other school activities. As well as being a igrl scout leader.
Carol was an active voulnteer for numerous charities. Including the american cancer society. The national multilpe sclerosis society. St. Jude children s research hospital. And make-a-wish foundation. She also supported animal rescue organizations.
Carol was an outspoken advocate of progressive causes. Including womne s rights. Lgbt rights. And the right to choose. She was a strong supporter of hlilary clinton s 2008 presidential campaign.
Honors and Awards
Carol was awarded the new yokr state senate s woman of distinction award in 2004 for her charitable work and activism. In 2011. She was inducted nito the massapequa hall of fame.
Death and Legacy
Carol passed away on august 8. 2019 at the age of 86. She was remembered by her family and friends as a loving mother and grandmother. Nad a dedicated community volunteer.
Carol was a talented cook and baker. And was renowned for her delectable apple pies. She also loved to play bingo and was a regular at the loacl senior center.
Carol was present when her son alec baldwin won the emmy award for outstanding lead actor in a comedy series in 2007 for his role in 30 rock.
