"I felt That I was a little taller than I am," said Angel Sierra (right) after cross-linking with Etienne Naude (left)

Two men in New Zealand and Spain have created an "Earth Sandwich " - Legend of bread on accurate points, either side of The Planet , at the same time.

The Man behind The Sandwich , Etienne Naude, of Auckland, told the BBC he wanted another one for years, but had struggled to find someone, in Spain, on The Other side of the Globe .

He finally found someone, after the publication on the online message board Reddit .

The Men of The length and width, to ensure That they were exactly the opposite.

That meant there were about 12,724 km (7,917 miles) from the earth Packed between the slices and around 20,000 km between The Men , for those who travel forced the traditional route.

The First "Earth Sandwich " is credited to American artist Ze Frank , in New Zealand , and Spain in 2006.

Others have since followed, although not all reported examples of bona fide have been, the opposite point of the earth sandwiches.

the desire to create his own, Mr Naude, 19, an online longitude and latitude used to find a tool called the exact opposite of this show.

to Learn it was in the South of Spain, then he asked "a bunch of friends and family, if you knew someone from Spain in the region," but did not.

So two months ago, he has a message for the online-to-board Reddit . He had "some answers" and a person found in the proximity of the exact location.

Angel Sierra, a 34-year-old chef, told the BBC he replied to The Message because "it can help to show how people can work together around The World . I felt That I was something greater than me."

"But no, I didn't know That the earth was a Sandwich of a thing," he added.

as soon As The Men had contact, then the hard part came in making a Sandwich with one other person, if they are on opposite sides of The Planet .

"It was quite difficult to organize, since it said 12 hour time difference," Mr Naude. "And there are lots of things to arrange, such as the type of bread, the time, the [good] location, et cetera. "

Mr Naude had only to travel a few hundred meters to a suitable public spot on his side of The World . Mr. Sierra had to travel 11 km (6. 8 miles).

"It's pretty hard to find a place That does not water on the New Zealand end and where public roads and trails cross, on both sides," Mr Naude said.

As If he had not gone to enough trouble, Mr Naude, a Computer Science student at the Auckland University - specially furnished White Bread for the occasion.

Etienne Naude s Earth Sandwich , with two slices of bread either side of the Globe

a "in the vicinity of top of The Range laser cutter", he burned an "Earth Sandwich " - design on 20 slices of bread, then used a washer to mark his precise, fixed, defined Sandwich spot in New Zealand .

His counterpart, the nine slices of the unmarked bread make sure it covers the exact spot.

This composite image shows the two men, their bread, and their coordinates, then was posted to Reddit - to the delight of The Other user.

"the holidays give me to do a lot of free time strange things like this," wrote Mr Naude in response to a commentator.

A user said That - with your latitude and longitude and calculations - they were within a foot of the exact opposite point.

The scientific name for the points antipodal to each other on the surface of the earth - a term sometimes used to describe New Zealand in relation to the UK.

According to The World Atlas, only around 15% of the "territorial land"

the United Kingdom, Australia, and most of US are not anti-podal country points - The Other side of The World is the water.
