Zarza la Mayor is a municipality located in the province of Cáceres, Extremadura, Spain. According to the 2006 census, the municipality has a population of 1488 inhabitants. This is the most occidental municipality in "Las Vegas de Alagón" region, being the only municipality in that region bordering with Portugal.
