Yumoto

A popular base for visitors, Yumoto features hot spring resorts along the Sukumo and Haya rivers. From Hakone-Yumoto Station, the charming red trains of the Hakone Tozan Railway wind through forested valleys and over mountain bridges on the short ride to Gora village. Souvenir stores sell traditional wooden boxes with intricate mosaic patterns, and there are teahouses, snack bars, and noodle shops on the riverbanks.
