A driver and passenger had to escape through a lucky, when their van plunged into a river in Bristol.
The couple managed to escape after The Vehicle ploughed through railings and into the Avon, the GMT, shortly after 07:00 on Monday.
police said The Van went into the water, after traveling down an embankment on Langton Street Bridge, in the vicinity of the York Road .
The A370 York Road is currently closed in both directions.
Avon and Somerset police said the two men were out of The Car and checked by paramedics.
A spokesman for Avon Fire and Rescue, said: "The Van went through a section of the railing and took a couple of trees before coming to rest in a very precarious position.
"the crews were called guards of the three fires, and a boat was provided, on The River in case The Van turned over. "
the firefighters secured The Car with a winch, in front of the bottom of a long ladder next to The Van so that The Men could crawl to safety.
