Xerophyllum is a genus of perennial plants from the family Melanthiaceae. The genus is native to North America. There are two species: Xerophyllum asphodeloides Nutt. - southern Appalachians from Alabama to Maryland; also Delaware + New Jersey Xerophyllum tenax Nutt.
