Trafficking gang guilty of, the sale of women in Glasgow

Vojtech Gombar, Anil Wagle, Jana Sandorova, and Ratislav Adam were condemned

Four people have been found guilty of human trafficking of Women from Slovakia to Glasgow and force their victims into prostitution and sham marriages.

The Women were transported in flats in the Govanhill area, Between 2011 and 2017, then exploited by the gear.

One of The Victims was sold for £10,000 outside of a store in The City of Argyle Street .

Vojtech Gombar, 61, Anil Wagle, 37, Jana Sandorova, 28, and Ratislav, Adam, 31, denied the charges but were found guilty at The High Court in Glasgow .

He said that the convictions were the culmination of a complex investigation with law enforcement authorities from across the UK and the European agencies such as Europol and Eurojust.

The Police first became aware of the human trafficking and exploitation in 2014, but it took a three-year operation, about 70 officers raided four apartments in the area of Glasgow Govanhill , resulting in the arrest of Gombar, Wagle, Sandorova and Adam.

But when they arrived, they were sold for Between £3,000 and £10,000 as part of a sham Marriage scheme.

The buyers were mostly men from Pakistan, the wanted, EU-citizenship, so you could live and work in Europe, and The Women wanted as their wives.

Some of The Victims were prostitutes, while others were abused by The Men that you have bought.

The Police found that The Women were kept in "safe houses" in places including Manchester and Yorkshire, before in Govanhill .

TÜV McMillan Det said, The Women had taken their identity documents from them and their movements controlled.

"Some of them suffered abuse, were you forced into Sexual Exploitation against being forced into sham marriages," he said.

While the case before the court, a 28-year-old woman from Slovakia said that she had thought that she and her sister leave for jobs in London, but they ended up in a flat in Govanhill with no job and no money.
