William Bateman-Hanbury, 1st Baron Bateman of Shobdon was a Member of Parliament and later a Baron in the Peerage of the United Kingdom. At birth his name was William Hanbury, although he was a distant descendant of Sir James Bateman who had been Lord Mayor of London and was his 2nd great-grandfather.
