About Wilhelm Wackernagel
Wilhelm Wackernagel was a German-Swiss philologist specializing in Germanic studies. He was the father of Indo-Europeanist Jacob Wackernagel. He studied Classical and Germanic literature at the University of Berlin as a pupil of August Boeckh and Karl Lachmann.
