About Weymouth Beach


Weymouth Beach is a gently curving arc of sand in Weymouth Bay, beside the town of Weymouth in Dorset, England. Immediately adjacent to the beach is The Esplanade. The beach is a popular destination for sea bathing, and was frequented by King George III during times of illness.

Weymouth woman 'threw exploded WW2 bomb across the garden'

The Bomb was detonated on Weymouth Beach at about 21:00 CEST on Saturday

A Woman , dug up a World War exploded Two bombs in your garden, you threw it across The Lawn for your dog before you realized what it was.

Lulu Cirillo, 49, was working in The Garden , in your house in Weymouth , if you spades The Bomb 10in (25 hit. 4cm) below.

she thought it was a great stone, and took it in, before it was on Facebook to ask people what they thought.

The Bomb was detonated on Weymouth Beach at about 21:00 BST on Saturday.

She Said : "I thought it was a stone, I threw it. It was mushy - I never thought it could be a Bomb . "

Lulu Cirillo took to Facebook to identify what they thought at first was a large stone,

you took him in your kitchen and cleaned it with a Brillo pad, in an effort to have a closer look at her discovery.

But if Facebook suspect that users, that it was a Bomb , an "absolutely horrified," Ms Cirillo, called The Police and returned quickly to The Garden before it was taken by the Bomb Disposal experts.

"you said it was loaded and very dangerous and so they took it away and The Next thing I Heard was, they would dispose of it on Weymouth Beach .

"I'll take it with Humor. I never realized that I scattered in Weymouth . "
