Vitaly Abalakov Life story
Vitaly Mikhaylovich Abalakov was a Soviet chemical engineer, mountaineer and inventor. Brother of Yevgeniy Abalakov, another famous alpinist, he made the first Soviet ascent of Lenin Peak in 1934 and two more ascents of this mountain.
