About Villavicencio
Villavicencio is a city in central Colombia, where the Andes meet the plains of Los Llanos, southeast of Bogotá. It's known for its joropo dance and the cowboy sport coleo. Fountains cool the main square, Liberators Park, home to 19th-century Our Lady of Carmen Cathedral. Founders Park has gardens and a towering sculpture. To the east, Malocas Park recreates life in a plains village complete with cattle ranch.
