About Vicuña (Vikunya)
The vicuña or vicuna is one of the two wild South American camelids which live in the high alpine areas of the Andes, the other being the guanaco. They were named after the eponymous town, which in turn took its name from Joaquín Vicuña, a Chilean politician of Basque origin.
