Vasyl Borodai Life story
Vasyl Zakharovych Borodai was a Ukrainian sculptor, parliamentary, People's Painter of the Soviet Union, academician of the Academy of Arts of the Soviet Union and Ukraine. He was a World War II veteran. While studying in Kiev Arts Institute in 1947–53, Borodai was a student of Ukrainian sculptor Mykhailo Lysenko.
