Valery Shantsev Life story
Valery Pavlinovich Shantsev, born 29 June 1947 in Susanino, Kostroma Oblast, is the former governor of Nizhny Novgorod Oblast from 8 August 2005, when he replaced Gennady Khodyrev until his resignation on 26 September 2017. Prior to his appointment as governor, Shantsev was the deputy mayor of Moscow.
