About USS Blessman
USS Blessman, a Buckley-class destroyer escort of the United States Navy, was named in honor of Lieutenant Edward Martin Blessman, who was killed in action in the Pacific on 4 February 1942. The ship was built by the Bethlehem-Hingham Shipyard at Hingham, Massachusetts in 1943.
