While waiting for his Balkan country to vote on whether or not to abolish its monarchy, Prince Henry (Dennis Morgan) comes to New York City to observe ordinary life. Slipping away in disguise from his welcome party, the prince becomes friends with cab driver Buzz Williams (Jack Carson). After Buzz discovers the prince's identity, he lets his girlfriend, Connie (Joan Leslie), show the royal around the city.
