About Tsurumi Rail Accident
The Tsurumi rail accident occurred on November 9, 1963 between Tsurumi and Shin-Koyasu stations on the Tōkaidō Main Line in Yokohama, Japan, about 30 kilometres south of Tokyo, when two passenger trains collided with a derailed freight train, killing 162 people.
