About Toyako
Toyako is a town on Japan's Hokkaido Island. It's known for the hot-springs resorts on the shores of volcanic Lake Tōya. Boats cruise to Oshima Island, in the center of the lake, where the Toyako Forest Museum documents the region's biodiversity. South, a cable car runs to the top of the Mount Usu volcano, where an observation deck overlooks a crater. The Volcano Science Museum shows footage of previous eruptions.
