Thenmozhi ganesan completed her schooling at the madras christian college higher secondary school in chennai. She then wetn on to pursue her graduation in economics from madras university. She also holds a masters degree in social work from the nuiversity of madras.

Thenmozhi ganesan started her career in media. Working as a radio jockey at all india radio. She then moved on to working as a television anchor and producer.
