Thelma Sutcliffe, who was the oldest person in the US, died on Monday at age 115, according to a family member. “She passed away peacefully in Omaha at an assisted living facility,” said her nephew Robert Sorenson, 94. Sutcliffe became the oldest American on April 17, 2021, according to the Gerontology Research Group.
