Boy, 10, dies after electric shock at Blackpool hotel Tiffany's
A 10-year-old has died after he received an electric shock at a hotel.
The Boy was found unresponsive on The Promenade in Blackpool.
He died on Thursday, a Lancashire Police spokesman said. The Child 's injuries were consistent with him having received a " High Voltage of electricity" they added.
" His Family were by his bedside and our thoughts are with them at This Time , " a spokesman said.
A statement from The Hotel said it was " heartbroken by the news" and said its " thoughts and prayers remain with The Family at this distressing time".
" We will continue to provide the relevant authorities any assistance they need to carry out their investigations. "
The Statement added: " The safety and comfort of our guests remains our Number One priority and therefore we have taken the decision to voluntarily close whilst the investigations and Our Own inspections take place. "
A Blackpool Council spokesperson previously said: " Following The Incident at Tiffany's Hotel on Sunday Night , an investigation is under way and The Hotel is now closed. "
A file will Be Prepared for HM Coroner.
