About The Petty Girl
Having exchanged vaguely risque sketches for high-end portrait work, New York City painter George Petty (Robert Cummings) is suddenly a regular museum visitor. At a local gallery, George gets an eyeful of out-of-town professor Victoria Braymore (Joan Caulfield). Guarded at first, Victoria comes around to George's charm, and she ends up in Manhattan for a longer term. Confident that George's slightly bawdy drawings are his best, she schemes to introduce his work to a much larger audience.
