About The People Vs. Dr. Kildare
Moments after witnessing a car crash, Dr. James Kildare (Lew Ayres) and nurse Mary Lamont (Laraine Day) must perform a risky roadside operation to save the life of a badly injured woman. When their patient ends up paralyzed, Kildare finds himself blamed for the result -- and the subject of a career-threatening malpractice suit. Kildare's mentor, Dr. Leonard Gillespie (Lionel Barrymore), struggles to defend his young protégé's actions to a skeptical jury.
