The guard (Takis Agoris) of a tiny Greek village on the island of Chios is incapacitated by a swarm of bees. After much deliberation, the stingy local government finally springs for a new man, only to find that the replacement is a bully who takes to chasing children with a loaded gun. He's fired and another guard is brought in. The third man is much friendlier, but has a gambling habit that finds him on the wrong side of the law.
