About The Doctor Of Stalingrad
It is World War II and German doctor Fritz Böhler (O. E. Hasse) is imprisoned in Stalingrad. Though it's against the rules, he uses his medical expertise to treat his ailing fellow prisoners the best he can. When a man needs surgery, Böhler asks a Soviet doctor (Eva Bartok) for help. She refuses, but he does the surgery anyway.
