GM scraps of historical car brand Holden in Australia

General Motors has said it will retire the famous Australian brand Holden as it always leaves more markets.

The American Auto giant said it is Holden with the wind of sales, design and engineering activities in Australia and New Zealand until next year.

He also said, China ' s Great Wall Motors had agreed to buy his work in Thailand.

The Announcement comes three years after GM production ends in Australia.

In a statement published on the GM website, chief executive Mary Barra said: "I have often said that we do The Right thing, even if it is difficult, and this is one of those times. "

The Statement does not say how many jobs would be lost as a result of the relocation, but reports indicate it will mean that up to 600 redundancies.
