The Comedians was a British television show of the 1970s produced by Johnnie Hamp of Granada Television. The show gave a stage to nightclub and working men's club comedians of the era, including Russ Abbot, Jim Bowen and Bernard Manning.

comedian Eddie Large , best known for being a part of the Double Act Little and Large , have died with coronavirus.

The Star , 78, was a familiar face on television in the 1970s and 80s, and became famous for his collaboration with Syd Little .

His Family confirmed The News "with great sadness" on Facebook, said that he had to suffer with congestive Heart Failure and contracted The Virus in the hospital.
