At the dawn of the Bolshevik Revolution, newly formed ranks of secret police, the Cheka, exterminate "enemies" of the new regime: Christians, aristocrats, Jews, intellectuals. Andrey (Igor Sergeyev) is the head of the lethal group, and he coldly condemns a daily influx of prisoners to anonymous death.
