About The Camp Followers
During the occupation of Greece in World War II, 15 prostitutes from Athens, Greece, are taken to Albania to boost the morale of occupying Italian soldiers. Along for the ride are Sgt. Castagnoli (Mario Adorf), the affable truck driver, and Lt. Martino (Thomas Milian), who initially finds the mission degrading, but eventually forms a rapport with the women.
