About The Bluecoat


Built in 1716-17 as a charity school, Bluecoat Chambers in School Lane is the oldest surviving building in central Liverpool, England. Following the Liverpool Blue Coat School's move to another site in 1906, the building was rented from 1907 onwards by the Sandon Studios Society.

Sadam Essakhil: The message, a killer for students

A Man serving a Life Sentence for a murder he committed as a school boy, is fronting a new anti-knife-crime-campaign shown in schools in the West Midlands .

Sadam Essakhil was 15 when he murdered Lukasz Furmanek in Handsworth on 31 may 2015.

Like many young People in the UK, the big cities, he said, he had to wear, and a knife for his own protection. He and an older friend, Abdullah Atiqzoy, who was 18, were BST on foot in the direction of an all-night supermarket to 03:00 PM, when two Polish men from The Other direction.

It is not clear how The Fight started, but Essakhil and Atiqzoy were armed. In less than 60 seconds, Mr Furmanek die, and his friend Joseph Dudek was severely injured from multiple stab suffered was wounds.

Atiqzoy for 26 Years before he is eligible for parole, while Essakhil has to serve to 19. Judge Patrick Thomas , QC, said that what she had done, was "savage and inexcusable", and the impact of the "horrible and serious".

It is now four years later and Sadam Essakhil has just 20. Despite not admitting his guilt and shows No Remorse at the time, he now accepts that he was responsible for taking the life of A Man , and wants to warn them not to wear other youth knife.

He tells the kids he's sorry he took another human life and for the hardships he has caused, to both Lukasz Furmanek and his family and his own. His message to other young People who think they need to carry firearms for protection is strong.

"I went in with a knife, but try not to attack People ," he says.

"I just feel that I need to protect myself, and of course one thing leads to another, and you never think, you kill going to someone. But of course, you could end up killing someone.

"If you think about it, you don't need the knife. A lot of the time, I used to think, I have this to protect me but what should I do to protect me?

After watching the film, Oscar, 12, explains how you feel for him.

"It's pretty hard to believe that it (can happen), somewhere close to where we live. It is literally right on our doorstep. "

Ismail , also 12, added: "To my area happen to a lot of bad things, like a few weeks ago, there was a shot fired.

"People wear it [a knife] for self-defense. What you don't know is, if you wear caught the knife to some of the bad things that could happen to you. "
