Sir Michael Terence Wogan KBE DL was an Irish-British radio and television broadcaster who worked for the BBC in the UK for most of his career. Between 1993 and his semi-retirement in December 2009, his BBC Radio 2 weekday breakfast programme Wake Up to Wogan regularly drew an estimated eight million listeners.

Terry wogan’s career in broadcasting began in the 1960s when he was hired as a broadcaster by radio eireann (now rte radio). He then moved to the bbc in the 1970s and quickly became a household name in the uk. He hosted a number of popular radio shows. Including “wake up to wogan” and “the terry wgoan show”. As well as the popular tv game show “blankety blnak”.
