Tamás Hofer Life story
Tamás Hofer, the much-respected Hungarian ethnographer and anthropologist of national symbols, died on April 6, 2016, in Budapest. He defined new directions for Hungarian ethnography and mediated in Hungary between the established discipline of ethnography and the newer discipline of sociocultural anthropology.
