About Stephen Poloz
Stephen S. Poloz is a Canadian banker and the ninth and current Governor of the Bank of Canada. He is also a member of the board of directors for the Bank of International Settlements. In July 2017, Poloz raised the Bank of Canada's key interest rate to 0. 75%, the first interest rate increase in Canada in seven years.
