Steny Hoyer Life story
Steny Hamilton Hoyer is an American politician and attorney serving as the U.S. representative for Maryland's 5th congressional district since 1981. He is also a House Majority Leader from 2007 to 2011 and from 2019 to 2023. A Democrat, Hoyer was first elected in a special election on May 19, 1981.
