Dame Stella Rimington DCB is a British author and former Director General of MI5, a position she held from 1992 to 1996. She was the first female DG of MI5, and the first DG whose name was publicised on appointment.

Sir Richard also criticised MI5's first female director-general, Dame Stella Rimington , describing her as "extremely badly behaved" for writing An Autobiography .
