Steampunk'd

Steampunk is the art of making machines based on technology from previous generations, often steam-powered machinery from the 19th century. This competition pits 10 contestants -- called makers -- against one another in a search for America's best steampunk designer. The makers face weekly elimination challenges in their quest to become the last one standing and win the $100,000 grand prize. The challenges put the makers in teams for tasks that test their ability to turn ordinary objects into creative, retro-futuristic masterpieces. The designs are critiqued by a judging panel that includes steampunk authority Thomas Willeford, "The World of Steam" creator Matt King and steampunk-inspired clothing line founder Kate "Kato" Lambert. TV personality Jeannie Mai hosts the eight-episode first season. …
