About State Of Tocantins

Tocantins is a state in central Brazil. It's characterized by cerrado (dry grassland and scrub forests), vast rivers and soybean plantations. The modern capital, Palmas, was purpose-built in the geographic center of the state and is surrounded by forested hills. A little southeast of Palmas, Taquaruçu do Porto is an ecotourism destination known for its hiking trails and waterfalls.
