About South Region
Southern Brazil is a region spanning the states of Paraná, Santa Catarina and Rio Grande do Sul. In the west, the city of Foz do Iguaçu is a gateway to the huge Iguaçu Falls, which straddle Brazil's border with Argentina. The falls comprise hundreds of cascades, including the huge Devil's Throat. Surrounding the falls is Iguaçu National Park, a subtropical rainforest with Bird Park, home to toucans and macaws.
