About Songland
Undiscovered songwriters pitch their original creations to superstar recording artists and a panel of chart-topping music producers in hopes of creating the artists' next megahits. The star artists -- including Jonas Brothers, John Legend, Macklemore, Kelsea Ballerini, will. i. am, Old Dominion, OneRepublic, Meghan Trainor, Aloe Blacc, Leona Lewis and Charlie Puth -- each choose three songwriters to take their favorite ideas to the next level. Pairing each songwriter with one of the three producers -- including three-time Grammy winner Ryan Tedder; Grammy-nominatee Ester Dean, songwriter of hits for Rihanna and Katy Perry; and Grammy-winning country music icon with 38 No. 1 records Shane McAnally -- the songwriters tailor and evolve their songs to perfectly fit the artists, who will choose one winning song to record and release worldwide.
