About Sondheim Theatre


The Sondheim Theatre is a West End theatre located in Shaftesbury Avenue on the corner of Wardour Street in the City of Westminster, London. It opened as the Queen's on 8 October 1907 as a twin to the neighbouring Hicks Theatre which had opened ten months earlier. Both theatres were designed by W. G. R. Sprague.

"Les Miserables" and Hamilton's, among the West End shows up to 2021

Les Miserables was performed in the Stephen Sondheim Theatre in London

Hamilton, Les Miserables , Mary Poppins and The Phantom of The Opera returns to the West End of London has announced that by 2021, the producer.

Sir Cameron Mackintosh said: "drastic measures," including layoffs, were needed to open if the shows are, "as early as practical" in the next year.

"This decision is heartbreaking for me, because I Am sure that it is for my employees," He Said in a statement.

It is not known how many jobs are At Risk at this stage.
