María Soledad Alvear Valenzuela, is a Chilean lawyer and former Christian Democrat politician, who was a cabinet member of the Aylwin, Frei and Lagos administrations. She was president of the Christian Democrat Party from 2006–2008. She is currently senator for Santiago/East.
