The Siruvani dam and reservoir is a major picnic spot located in the Kalladikodan hill ranges in Palakkad. The Siruvani reservoir was built by the Kerala Government with the purpose of meeting the drinking water requirements of the city of Coimbatore (Tamil Nadu).
